Dr. Gerald Woolfson is a distinguished figure in the field of psychotherapy and life coaching, with over four and a half decades of therapeutic expertise. His professional journey has spanned a wide spectrum of psychological issues, though he now concentrates exclusively on psychotherapy and life coaching.

Dr Woolfson's extensive knowledge encompasses the treatment of various psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, personality disorders, addiction (both drug and alcohol), couples therapy, relationship counselling, grief counselling, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias, and marital and sexual problems. He also possesses significant experience in working with autistic spectrum disorders.

A pioneer of group therapy in the U.K., Dr. Woolfson addressed anger management and complex emotional problems through this innovative approach.

His impressive qualifications include M.B., ChB, DPM, FRCPG, and FRCPsych. He received an Honourable Mention in the Royal College of Psychiatry's Gaskell Gold Medal and Prize Examination. Furthermore, he served as an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry and a Recognised Teacher of the University of London.

Dr Woolfson's illustrious career includes consultancy roles in both the private sector and government. Notably, he served as Consultant Psychotherapist to the Home Office at H.M. Prison Holloway and as an Ombudsman to the Metropolitan Police Force. He also held a Medical Directorship at prominent hospitals. Most recently, he held the position of Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at the Green Door Clinic in London.

Dr Woolfson's remarkable contributions have earned him Fellowships from the Royal College of Psychiatry and the Royal College of Physicians (Glasgow). He is also a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. In September 2022, he voluntarily retired from his psychiatric practice and the General Medical Council to focus exclusively on life coaching. While he no longer prescribes medication, his reputation for diagnostic excellence endures, making him a sought-after expert for second-medical opinions on complex psychiatric cases.
